Moxibustion
Moxibustion is often termed “moxa” and is an external treatment that accompanies acupuncture. It is the warming and burning of the processed plant Mugwort.
A rolled moxa cone placed directly on the skin and ignited is called direct moxibustion, while moxa that is kept at a certain distance from the skin or placed on a needle is called indirect moxibustion.

​It is used to strengthen and warm the body promoting increased circulation, classically used to turn breech babies, and overall a warm and pleasurable experience.
